Both of the hotels we stayed in during our trip to India put fresh rose petals out daily. I particularly enjoyed the golden marigolds combined with the bright red of the roses.
When I catch myself feeling anxious or obsessing about something that is not helpful, I start to look for beauty in the world around me. I find it in the most ordinary places: a smile from a clerk, the embroidery on a piece of clothing, the placement of a special object in someone’s home.
Beauty restores my sense of appreciation allowing me to liberate the magnificence in this moment now.
“Beauty in front of me, Beauty behind me,
Beauty above me, Beauty below me,
Beauty all around me,
I walk in Beauty.”
