Dogs in Training

My daughter and I are training our dogs. In the picture above, we have taken them to a restaurant that has seating outdoors. We needed a place that had a lot of foot traffic so the dogs would learn to stay close to us in the midst of a lot of action. This was last night and they both did beautifully.

Dog training is a wonderful hobby for me that I now share with my daughter. Kaya, the German Shepherd, is the dog that goes with me into the backcountry when I camp. Divya, the little black dog on the right, will accompany Ruchi when she starts college this fall.

Divya is a service dog in training and soothes Ruchi, who experiences myoclonal seizures. Divya‘s presence actually reduces the number of seizures that Ruchi experiences.

As you look at the week ahead, will you engage in some hobby, some special activity that will also support your wellbeing?
