Joy in Service at Work

During our first seven days in India we stayed at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel Delhi. It was an exceptional experience. More important than the amenities were the people who served us.

Always a warm greeting when we entered the hotel and when we ate in their restaurant, which was daily for breakfast. They quickly grew to know us, and not just our meal preferences but more about who we were and why we were in India. The restaurant staff made sure my daughter always had what she needed from the food selection as she is 100% vegan. Over many offline conversations with both staff and managers we came to learn about what they were most interested in, too. And when it came time for us to leave they made a special presentation as a group that you can see above. It included a custom dessert.

It’s always special when a travel experience includes joyful relationships. Believe me, I have had my share of those that do not!

Is there something in the week ahead that you might do for those you care for?
