I’m writing about my work on Grand Challenges on Medium. I’m hoping to build a community of people who are interested in taking on big socially intractable and complex issues affecting today’s society.
My first piece, “Why I Facilitate Grand Challenges,” includes the section, What Constitutes a Grand Challenge? It is an insider’s perspective on facilitating Grand Challenges, aiming to tackle systemic social problems by applying insights from experience and fostering a community of practice.
This is the first in a series I am planning. My goal is to create a body of work that will be useful to anyone who has a serious interest in conceiving, designing, and executing responses to some of the biggest systemic issues facing our world today. Things like climate change, biodiversity, mental health, social justice, pandemics, food insecurity, and other problems facing people and the planet.
Upcoming pieces will include case studies on the Grand Challenges I have been engaged in, common issues facing a Grand Challenge and some of the solutions I have seen put into action, interviews with other leaders in addressing systemic change, and more.
Is there something you care about and would like to share with the world today?
