Seth Kahan on Grand Challenges
Grand Challenges represent the wicked problems that society faces—complex, persistent, and difficult to solve due to incomplete, contradictory, and ever-changing demands.
Addressing Grand Challenges is vital for humanity’s survival and progress. These complex, systemic issues go beyond any single solution, shaping policies, social behavior, and mindsets. My work focuses on helping organizations and activists collaborate using proven models and frameworks. Drawing from my experience at the World Bank and Grand Challenges in fields like maternal health, earth science, finance, nursing, and mental health, I’ve seen both successes and obstacles—and developed strategies to drive real change.
