I had a great conversation in Paris with Bertrand Moal about the future of AI-enabled cardiac imaging and the enormous potential to expand access to care worldwide. This is of great interest to me in my work with Inteleos, helping their leaders with strategic large-scale change. Thank you to Inteleos CEO, Dale Cyr, for providing the introduction.
We were joined by my daughter, Ruchi, who is learning more about my work so she can provide specialized support to me as she earns her undergraduate degree.
I was especially interested in DESKi’s collaboration with Inteleos and the launch of the first AI-enabled cardiac Point Of Care UltraSound certification, the HeartFocus POCUS Certification. Combining AI guidance with validated competency standards creates a powerful pathway for helping clinicians adopt new technologies safely and effectively.
What impressed me most was Bertrand’s systems-level thinking. DESKi is building AI-guided software that helps frontline clinicians secure high-quality cardiac ultrasound training, making advanced diagnostics more accessible to nurses, primary care providers, and healthcare systems.
The implications are significant:
- Earlier detection of cardiac disease
- Faster triage and reduced hospital bottlenecks, which will generate significant savings for patients, hospitals, and insurance companies
- Expanded access in underserved regions
- Greater scalability for global healthcare systems
and more…
This is the kind of innovation that can reshape healthcare delivery by providing better education at scale to frontline clinicians for better outcomes to patients.
“The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence. It is to act with yesterday’s logic.”
