Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, and some Buddhists worldwide to honor light’s triumph over darkness, good over evil, and to symbolize renewal, hope, and prosperity.
Ruchi wrote about the importance of her faith as she worked to survive on the streets of New Delhi. It’s called Identity and was written when she was 14, eight years ago.
It’s a joy for all of us to celebrate together. This year, we emphasized our sparklers!
