Closing the Year, Clearing the Way

This is the last Monday Morning Mojo of the year, and I always feel a great invitation at this moment.

The year does not end with fireworks for me. It ends with cleanup.

This week I am creating a clear financial overview, business and personal, so I know exactly where I stand and what I am stepping into.

I like to do the same thing in my physical space. Yesterday it was one of the aquariums in my office. Draining 30% of the water. Scrubbing the glass. Vacuuming the gravel. Cleaning all the pumps and replacing their filters.

I have learned that clarity is an act of caring. The end of the year is not a closing door. It is a clearing ground.

As I look ahead, I will be working toward a new Grand Challenge. One that allows me to contribute, in a meaningful way, to the hope humanity is reaching for right now. Not hope as wishful thinking, but hope as something built through action, alignment, and courage.

Before we rush into resolutions, this week offers something quieter and more powerful. A chance to clear what is old, see what is true, and make room for what wants to be born next.

May you find peace in your last week of the year. The new year is already knocking.

“And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never been.”

– Rainer Maria Rilke
