A few years ago I started writing reviews on Yelp. Restaurants. Local spots. Experiences that mattered. Not because I had to. Because it was fun.
Just recently, I was invited into Yelp Elite. This means I’ll get invites to tastings and meet other reviewers.
Something unexpected happened. I began to enjoy the practice more deeply.
I seek out dining experiences now, and I pay attention. I enjoy articulating what works, and what doesn’t so much. I get to call out what elevates an experience from ordinary to exceptional, or keeps it from reaching its potential for me.
This week, I’m stepping into Elite Energy. Enthusiasm isn’t something I’m waiting for. It’s something I generate by engaging deeply.
