Sarah White is one of only two people I’ve stayed close to since college. She’s also an extraordinary editor, writing coach, and expert at helping people discover and craft the stories that define their lives. She helped me shape my first book, which became a business bestseller, and has guided me through several others.
Today Sarah serves as Executive Director of the Birren Center, a nonprofit dedicated to enriching lives through guided autobiography—helping people write, share, and preserve their life stories while fostering deeper connection, purpose, and well-being.
The Birren Center is seeking two volunteer board members: one to lead Communications and another to help with Revenue Generation. If you’re looking for a meaningful way to contribute your professional skills, or know someone who is, I encourage you to explore these opportunities.
Writing our stories helps us make meaning of our lives. Sharing them preserves wisdom, strengthens relationships, and reminds us that every life has lessons worth passing on. If you’ve ever wanted to learn this craft from one of the very best while helping others discover the power of their own stories, this is an exceptional opportunity.
“Stories are the communal currency of humanity.”
