I took Ruchi and her best friend (and gramma, not pictured) to see Ateez, her favorite K-pop group, in a movie theater concert.
I’ve seen this show twice with Ruchi, live. Once in DC and another time in Chicago.
When the movie started, Ruchi was the first to scream! It reminded Gramma and me of the Beatles landing in the USA and how the girls couldn’t stop screaming. Gramma was one of those girls!
As soon as Ruchi started, other girls in the theater cut loose. It was contagious, and it felt right.
It was a great and liberating night out. The movie was well done, and there was no shortage of moments on screen to lift the spirit and throw young fans into overdrive. Ruchi was hoarse for days.
