The Holiday Run

I love the stretch from Thanksgiving to Christmas. I call it “the holiday run.” These weeks carry a special energy. The year is still alive, yet Christmas and New Year’s vacation is close enough to feel. I use these 3 1/2 weeks as a personal challenge. How much progress can I make before the year comes to a close?

In my work, real momentum comes from engagement. It emerges when you step in with purpose. These weeks offer a unique opportunity to do exactly that. The pace can feel lighter. Calendars open a bit. Conversations flow more easily. There is room to move, room to create, room to advance what matters most.

Choose one ambitious action for the week ahead. Something that strengthens a relationship or pushes a project forward. That single choice will shape the days ahead. The attached picture is one I took from the top of the US Capitol during this span between Thanksgiving and Xmas, the holiday run. It inspires me to be ambitious. This season invites reflection, but it also rewards intention. Step into it with confidence. Treat these weeks as your runway. Build momentum now so you arrive at the holidays with an authentic sense of accomplishment.
