One of my favorite times of the year is now… right now! Here between the Christmas holiday and New Year’s eve. This is the perfect time to review the last year and make plans for the one ahead. I find it so inspiring.

I have several ways I like to take stock. One is my calendar. I do a quick review (not more than 15 minutes) of my appointments and trips over the last 365 days including family events. Another is my financial software, creating a simple report that shows my clients and revenue. Again, not more than 15 minutes. With these two data sets in mind, I ask myself, what do I want to keep the same and what do I want to change?

This results in a personal journal entry that is not more than a page. Yet, it becomes an important benchmark for me to return to over the next 3-6 months.

This process inspires me. But, it may be different for you and what I do is less important than what you do! Where is the energy for you?
