Work Worth Traveling For

Last weekend I was in San Diego. That’s me in the photo with the sunset behind me.

Today I’m in Chicago, where I am spending three days with another great client

Travel has been part of my work for decades, and I still feel the same spark every time I step out of my house with a suitcase. There is something about going where people are gathering to do important work together that energizes me. New cities. New rooms full of leaders wrestling with real challenges. Conversations that matter.

Being on the road satisfies my wanderlust. I love seeing the country, feeling the rhythm of different places, and stepping into environments where people are building something meaningful.

At the same time, every trip reminds me of something else. I’m always happy to come home. There’s nothing like walking through the front door and seeing my loved ones after an engagement is complete.

That rhythm has become part of the joy: go out into the world, do work that matters with people who care, then return home again. I feel incredibly fortunate that my work lets me do both.

Here’s to a week of meaningful work, wherever it takes you.

“Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone – we find it with another.”
