I’ve been designing and leading virtual meetings much longer than ZOOM has been around. My largest virtual meeting took place 20 years ago and included almost 10k participants and over 800 organizations.

Through my work helping leaders execute large overarching strategies. I’ve learned what it takes to build a global workforce. The video above outlines three lessons to keep in mind when virtualizing your meetings:

  1. Build an overarching goal and ensure every component of the meeting creates synergy with the overarching goal
  2. Give local leaders a role to play
  3. Build a reporting structure that is easy to execute and documents everyone’s contribution
