What’s better than taking your daughter to Holi? Not much!
Holi is the Hindu celebration of spring and the love between Radha and Krishna, two hearts destined to share a beauty that cannot be measured. Splashing each other with color is at the core of the event. At Holi yesterday, hundreds of people spread the air with dayglo green, pink, purple, and yellow, all while a DJ spun pounding bass and percussion, chanting the holy names of God.
And then there was the food, and the people, and the spirit of joy in the air. It was a spectacle I was grateful to participate in with Ruchi, who feels a deep kinship to some of the rituals from her homeland. She was all smiles.
How do you find joy with the people you love? Maybe this is a good week to find out!
“I have learned so much from God that I can no longer call myself a Christian, a Hindu, a Muslim, a Buddhist, a Jew.”
