In the attached picture my faithful Sita is helping me clean my office even though she can’t discern when it’s a mess and when it’s not. As long as we are together she is good… and so am I!
So much of family and friendship is simply being close to each other. Of course it is good to be able to have crucial conversations, to dive beneath the surface of the minutia of life and talk about what’s going on, our feelings and insights. That’s some of my favorite stuff. But, there is an elegant simplicity in just passing the time close to those you care about. In the same room, quiet and together.

Who do you want to visit this week? What special someone could you find time to invite on a walk, sit in the same room and read a book, or enjoy making a meal together? There are so many ways to spend time with those you appreciate. What special person (or dog) in your life will you invite to spend a precious moment with you?

Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light.
