I got a great new chair for my office, so we can expand the number of people who sit and watch movies in the evening with greater comfort. When it arrived, it delivered on the comfort front and quickly became a mainstay in my workplace. Soon it was discovered by Kaya, pictured above. She barely fits in it, but it has become one of her favorite nests. It’s kind of comical to watch what she goes through to settle in, sometimes with a foot hanging precariously out.
My wife says, “That chair is going to turn into a dog bed!” Yes, right next to the $800 leather dog bed we refer to as the couch, which sits next to the dog’s crate. All three are now in regular rotational use by Kaya.
I must admit I have given our dog the run of my office. She is the only one who shares it with me regularly throughout the day coming and going as she wishes. Others steer clear while I am in endless zoom meetings and working at my desk.
It’s no secret. I like how Kaya looks in the chair! Having her here brings joy into my day.
