Last week, I had the opportunity to speak about Stop Stigma Together at The Kennedy Forum’s Alignment for Progress summit this last week in DC, chairing a panel with:
- Andy Dunn – author of Burn Rate and founder of Bonobos, speaks on his lived experience of being a founder with bipolar disorder;
- Rachael Cooper from Shatterproof discussing their new Addiction Stigma Index;
- Philomena Kebec – member of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians where she is an attorney and judge licensed to practice law in both tribal and state courts.
I learned so much! The Kennedy Forum is truly aligning so many organizations for progress in this space. It’s wonderful to experience.
Tuesday and Wednesday I head to the Jed Foundation’s Policy Summit, also here in DC, “Empowering Minds: Policy Driven Solutions for Youth Mental Health.”
Big week for me! So helpful for the next stage of the Grand Challenge to eliminate stigma!
“Public policy is a study in imperfection. It involves imperfect people, with imperfect information, facing deeply imperfect choices – so it’s not surprising that they’re getting imperfect results.“ – Jake Sullivan
