There are a number of hobbies I enjoy and knot tying is one. I practice this regularly, often carrying a small piece of paracord in my pocket.

There was a time before tape when knots were used everywhere to secure packages, tie down crates and fasten loose objects. But, of course, those days are gone now.

Nonetheless, the immense practicality of finding the right knot (there are tens of thousands) is personally rewarding.

What brings you personal joy, and how might you find time for it this week?

“When you reach the end of your rope tie a knot in it and hang on.”
