The best leaders are constantly transforming themselves and building new capabilities; trying things that have never been done before. In this video, I share three steps to increase your capability as a leader.

  1. Identify the capability that you want.
  2. Find a leader who’s already built that capability and is an expert.
  3. Go beyond email or telephone and spend face time with the expert leader.

When visiting with the expert leader, you’ll find that you’re building rapport that you can draw on later. That’s the beginning of a new kind of relationship, one that will sustain you as you begin to execute the new capability.
