Alliances

Last Friday and Saturday, I was honored to participate in the first strategic planning of the Grand Challenge to eliminate the stigma around mental health and substance use disorders on a national scale. We had participants from 14 organizations representing 1,000s of organizations that will participate. The photo above is the leadership team – see below for a list of organizations represented.

This alliance brings together organizations of all sizes to work together on their common agenda, a cause they all believe deeply in. The magic was on display as they talked about how they would work together to bring about results.

Alliances that bring good people together can move mountains. Who might you reach out to this week to help with a cause dear to your heart?

Organizations represented above:
Ad Council, American Psychiatric Association, America Psychological Association, Carter Center, Human Rights Campaign, Huntsman Mental Health Foundation, Huntsman Mental Health Institute, Jed Foundation, National Alliance on Mental Illness, National Institute on Drug Abuse, One Mind, Shatterproof, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, and the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
