Conversations can Mean So Much

I was prepping for a full-day session about culture change with the executive team of a scientific society when I was reminded of my work with the World Bank. Our initiative went from zero to $60 million a year in just two short years and it all started with conversations

All culture change begins with a conversation. It begins slowly and by bringing the right people together and getting them engaged. Engagement is fundamental; it is the traction the pushes initiatives forward.

Whether a big or small culture change initiative, the most important piece is the support and buy-in of the people who are going to bring about the desired results. You create this engagement by providing an opportunity to question, challenge, and think about the goals and tasks ahead.

This week I challenge you to spark conversations using the objectives you are looking for and be patient as you build momentum.
