As I write this in my home in Washington DC,
Frankenstorm is closing in. The harsh rains and powerful winds are
coming. Weather forecasters are telling us the projected storm surge
from Hurricane Sandy is a “worst case scenario.” We have bought
batteries, stocked up on food and water, cleared all the small items
from our yard, and now wait for the inevitable power failure that comes
from living with Pepco, our local electric company. I am rushing to
publish the Mojo before the power goes down!
I have begun a series of passages from my upcoming book, Getting Innovation Right on my Fast Company blog.
You can always visit me at SethFast.com to read the latest post. Here are the
last three, all from the book:
- 3 Practical Secrets Of Innovative Leaders
Innovation doesn’t require genius, luck, or magic–but it does require
talking to the right people, being able to clearly articulate a vision,
and putting the right partnerships in place. - To Make The Most Of Innovation, Find The Right
Inflection Points
Getting innovation right means identifying or creating inflection
points that will drive you toward success. - 7 Key Activities For Getting Innovation Right
These days innovation is everything–and yet it’s nothing if it doesn’t
succeed in the marketplace.
